Transparent pictures

In a transparent picture, one color is transparent. In the example, white is this color.
An easy way to make a picture transparent is to use LView Pro.
Open the non-transparent picture. Select Retouch, Background color from the menu. Click on the Dropper button.
The mouse pointer becomes a dropper. Click once on the area you want to make transparent.
Save the image in GIF 89a format.
It is also quite easy in Paint Shop Pro V4.1.
Open or create the picture to become transparent. Press the Dropper icon in the Image Tools
toolbar and right-click the area to become transparent. This changes the background color to the transparent color.
Select File, Save As. Select GIF - CompuServe and on of the Version 89a formats in the two
comboboxes. Press the Options button and select the third radiobutton: Set the transparency value to the background color
Press OK, OK and the image is transparent.
