Morphing
Morphing looks really cool and it is quite simple to create. Both a single shot or a whole movie (198 kb) (if you get an error, click again... todays browsers sux!).
I used the commercial program Gryphon Morph to make this. But there are many other programs capable of doing the same thing.
Some guidelines:
- First find to pictures that look alike. They must have equal dimensions. Use Paint Shop Pro to change dimensions or flip/mirror if necessary.
- Load the pictures in your Morph program.
- Create keypoints and connect some of them with lines.
- Generate Morph. If you are not satisfied, add some more keypoints/lines and try again.
Keypoints are relations between objects in the two pictures. Keypoints can be connected with lines to form greater objects.
In this example, I placed one keypoint in each eye and one on the tip of the nose. Four keypoints connected with lines to form the mouth and seven with lines to form the lower face.
